Betsy Mars is a poet, photographer, and editor for Gyroscope Review. She is a lifelong poet, having written her first poem in Portuguese at age 5—an elegy for her cat— while her family lived in Brazil. Betsy currently works as a substitute teacher, but her “mission” is poetry. And supporting the local veterinary clinics. Her full-length book, Rue Obscure, is coming soon from Sheila-Na-Gig Editions.
